Strategic company off-sites are a great way to bring a company together, especially if you work in a hybrid or remote environment. They also provide an excellent opportunity for all team  members to align on corporate strategy and goals while getting to know one another personally.

This year, for Loft's company off-site, the team chose to travel to Charleston, South Carolina, to reflect on the recent rebrand, strategize on 2023 goals and bond as a team.

The Plan

Before embarking on our trip, our retreat planning committee created a daily itinerary, planning the activities and set goals for our strategic off-site.

What We Did

Our team members gave personal presentations on their working styles, strengths and weaknesses, and personal interests and hobbies. We discussed what we valued most in the workplace and what motivates us, how our ideal engagement might look like, how we could give back and contribute to our community. We also strategized on how we could develop new markets and defined what success looks like. We spent time planning how we would achieve the goal and put together resources and initiatives to help us stay on track on all initiatives.

The team also explored everything Charleston had to offer. Dining at local restaurants, participating in design-themed scavenger hunts, and learning about history through a dungeon ghost tour were the most memorable moments from our trip.

Take-Away

By the end of the week, we had all learned a lot about ourselves, our teammates, and our work, and we felt stronger and more confident about achieving our goals. As we like to say, “a team that plays together, stays together!”
