Designing Intuitive Lab Ecosystems

When: Wednesday, June 25, 12:30 - 1:30 PM EST

RSVP Here!

Modern laboratories often operate with fragmented workflows, outdated sample preparation methods, and dispersed protocols, resulting in disconnected datasets and inefficient processes. As labs face increasing pressure from understaffing and heavy workloads, the need for a streamlined, integrated solution has become critical.

Codetta Bio’s team set out to address this challenge by combining DNA and protein measurements within a custom-built, easy-to-execute workflow. Their development approach fused design thinking with technical innovation to create an intuitive digital interface and a highly efficient assay preparation process.

The result is a unified multi-omics platform that enables simultaneous analysis of DNA, RNA, and protein biomarkers in a single run. This integrated system eliminates the need for multiple instruments and data sources, significantly reducing operational complexity, minimizing overhead, and improving the reliability of research outcomes. Purpose-built for high-pressure lab environments, the interface features advanced data visualization and management tools, empowering scientists to interpret complex datasets with accuracy and confidence.

Loft Design and Codetta Bio collaborated to develop the Concerto™ platform, including the Prelude™ sample preparation workflow and a custom UX interface. The result is an intuitive user experience that guides scientists through each step of the process while enabling high-throughput, multiplex biomarker detection. The Concerto™ instrument integrates digital PCR, real-time PCR, and immunoPCR into a single, seamless workflow, streamlining complex analyses with precision and efficiency.
